The Virtual Boxwell Team is sad to report the death of Tom Young this last weekend. Tom had served as a program commissioner in the 1960s and then joined the ranks of professional Scouting, serving as a DE for several years. In 1974 and 1975, he served as Camp Director of Camp Parnell. Tom died of a heart attack on Friday. Our best wishes to his family.

In other news, the new swimming pool at Boxwell is well underway. Located by COPE Tower, the pool has zero depth entry and goes to a depth of 12 feet. The pool will also have a diving board and slide. When completed in May 2004, the pool will be the new home of Swimming, Lifesaving, and instructional swim for the entire reservation.
