The Virtual Boxwell Team is sad to report the passing of several important figures in camp history. Recently, Colonel Gilbert Doland died. Doland was not only a president on the council in the mid-1950s, but was responsible for much of the land dealings to acquire the present Boxwell Reservation.
In addition, Wilbur Creighton, Jr. (also a former council president) passed away recently. The Creightons make up three generations of Scouters involved in Middle Tennessee Council and Boxwell Reservation. The loss of Mr. Creighton and Col. Doland is a great one for Middle Tennessee Council.
