The VirtualBoxwell Team is sad to report the passing of John Sidney Smith. John was a staff member of the Stahlman staff  in 1974.  We believe he worked in 1975 as well, though we are not certain where.  His 1974 summer was spent working at the Trading Post, which would have been the first summer the new buildings were completed from the 1972 Capital Campaign.

Unfortunately, we know virtually nothing about John’s life after camp. He passed on May 23, 2003 at 44 years of age.  Services were held at the Coffee County Funeral home and announced in The Tennessean on Sunday, May 25. As we update our rolls ahead of the 2026 reunion, we just discovered this.
