The VirtualBoxwell Team is saddened to announce the passing of Jerry Keathley.  Jerry was a long-time professional of the Scouting movement, beginning his time in Middle Tennessee Council in the 1960s.  His service was long, eventually landing him a position as Area Director for the National Council, the job from which he retired from in 2001.  There is some debate about whether Jerry served on the Boxwell staff, but we think he served as Camp Director at Parnell in 1966.  His cousin was the recently deceased Joe Keathley (another professional) and his son was Stahlman staff member Wynn Keathley.  Jerry passed at the age of 84.  Here is his official obituary in The Tennessean: https://www.tennessean.com/obituaries/pokr1257966

We do not have a photo of Jerry Keathley.  Shown here is the 1963 professional staff.  Kerry had not yet joined, but these would be the men he worked with when he did in coming months.
