The VirtualBoxwell Team is saddened to report the passing of Bernice Hyland. The wife of the first COPE director Carl Hyland, Bernice was the camp director at Camp Murrey in 1982.  This was her only year on camp staff.  In her life outside of Boxwell, she worked for the Lebanon Special School District.  At her passing at age 88, she was survived by children, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.  She passed in March 2012. We discovered her passing as we updated our records for next year’s staff reunion.
